Roberta Jarvis’ ‘These Complicated Woods’ Art Show

Vivid acrylic abstract painting by Robert Jarvis of her backyard with imagery of animals--rabbit, fox, birds, deer, insects, trees, lake, and mountain.

You are invited to meet Roberta Jarvis and see her new show, “These Complicated Woods,” at the Monson Arts Gallery, Monson, Maine! The show began November 28th with an upcoming artist reception this Saturday, 4-6pm, December 7, 2024, and continues into spring ’25. All her works are on sale now in this snowy New England town in time for the Christmas season. Congratulations, Roberta!

Roberta’s work is an interesting journey of experiments incorporating realism and nonobjective expression. She will often include a whimsical use of animals in wooded scenes with layers of colors against carefully placed geometric shapes. Roberta also has several dreamlike paintings that suggest real stories.
